Hermann Nitsch - Rooms Made of Colour
On the occasion of the 80th birthday of the Austrian painter and action artist Hermann Nitsch, his works can be seen and experienced in the Albertina as monumental colour spaces and rubble installations. The exhibition "NITSCH. Räume aus Farbe" shows Nitsch's pictures for the first time as painting for themselves: it bursts the dimensions of the panel painting, conquers the wall across the entire surface and intervenes in the room as a comprehensive installation.

The Lipizzaners - What Links Austria and Slovenia Together
The Lipizzan horses are to become cultural heritage. After decades of dispute, Slovenia and Austria submit the Lipizzaner breed to UNESCO as an intangible cultural heritage. This was declared by Austrian Foreign Minister Karin Kneissl and her Slovenian colleague Miro Cerar after signing a joint declaration in Going in Tyrol. The application should be submitted by March 2020 with the aim of enrolment by 2021.

UNESCO - Austria Awarded Two More World Heritage Sites
In addition to the currently troubled "Historical Centre of Vienna", which is to be preserved as a World Heritage Site, two other Austrian sites will be added to the World Heritage List at the next UNESCO meeting in Baku at the end of June. The "Danubian Limes" (Donaulimes), part of the former border of the Roman Empire, and the "Grossglockner High Alpine Road", the highest surfaced mountain pass road in Austria. Thus Austria will have 12 World Heritage Sites starting in summer 2019.

Asia's Largest Airline to Fly to Vienna
From 18 June 2019, China's largest airline, China Southern Airlines, will fly three times a week from Guangzhou to Vienna via the capital Ürümqi (Wūlǔmùqí) in Xinjiang, China's most northwestern province. Traffic Development at Vienna Airport on the Upswing

Robbery of 10 Mio Euro in Front of Austrian Airlines Plane in Albania
During a robbery at Tirana International Airport, robbers tried to steal 10 million euros from an Austrian Airlines aircraft. The plane was supposed to bring the money to Vienna and was just loading. Organized International Cum-Ex Tax Fraud in Austria - 183 Million Euros Damage

Austria's Most Important Trading Partners - Ranking of the Top-20
Although the United States is only the second largest Austrian export partner after Germany, in 2018 exports exceeded the ten billion euro mark for the first time, growing by +9.7%. Imports, on the other hand, were only about half as high. Of the top 20 import partners, all, with the exception of Switzerland, showed a positive development. The deficit of the Austrian trade balance amounted to 5.71 billion euros in 2018, after 5.60 billion euros in the same period of the previous year. Imports of goods worth 155.71 billion euros (plus 5.5%) opposed exports worth 150.0 billion euros (plus 5.7%). The product group machinery and vehicles was again by far the most important in Austrian foreign trade.

Burger King Austria Acquires Rosenberger Motorway Restaurants
The Austrian franchisee TQSR of the US fast food chain Burger King has purchased 100% of the shares in Rosenberger Restaurant GmbH, which is currently undergoing restructuring, and is financing the 20% quota offered to creditors in the restructuring plan. The Chinese technology group Huawei and the ACBA Austrian Chinese Business Association have sealed their cooperation at an evening event entitled "Huawei - Inside & Outside" at the Grand Hotel Vienna. Huawei is disputed internationally because of its 5G wireless network technology and its close connection to the Chinese government. Huawei maintains good business relations with the largest carriers in Austria, A1 Telekom Austria (America Movil), Hutchison Whampoa (Drei Austria) and T-Mobile Austria and supplies them with expensive 5G network equipment. In addition, Huawei will open its first flagship store outside China in downtown Vienna in the summer of 2019.
