Klimaticket: Austrian Low-Priced Public Transport Ticket Launches on 26 October
After long and intensive negotiations, a "milestone" has now been reached for public transport and climate-friendly mobility throughout Austria, Environment Minister Leonore Gewessler was pleased to announce the launch of the "Klimaticket" (climate ticket) from October 26, 2021. With the ticket, public transport users will in future be able to travel throughout Austria for one year for 1,095 euros. A joint ticket for the entire eastern region (Vienna, Lower Austria and Burgenland) is also available at 915 euros per year.

International Nightjet Connections to Vienna Back in Service: Now Also Amsterdam

New International Bus Terminal to be Built in Vienna - 270 Buses per Day - 5 Mio Passengers per Year

Oesterreichische Bundesbahnen (OeBB), the Austrian state railway operator, is eyeing rail cargo operator buys across Central and Eastern Europe, a source close to the company and a person claiming knowledge of the situation said. OeBB, with EUR 3bn in revenue, believes a number of opportunities will soon come up in countries “east of Austria”, including countries of the former Yugoslavia, the source said.

Airports Group Europe S.à r.l. ("Airports Group Europe"), an indirect subsidiary of IFM Global Infrastructure Fund ("IFM"), published a voluntary public offer pursuant to §§ 4 et seq of the Austrian Takeover Act (Übernahmegesetz) for the purchase of up to 6,279,000 (six million two hundred seventy nine thousand) ordinary bearer shares in Flughafen Wien Aktiengesellschaft, (ISIN AT0000911805) on 7 November 2014 (the "Offer"). The improvement of the Offer was published on 5 December 2014. The acceptance period of the Offer ended on 18 December 2014, 15:00 (Vienna time). All conditions precedent are already fulfilled. Pursuant to § 19 (3) ÜbG, the Offer is not extended by the three month sellout period.

("Airports Group Europe"), an indirect subsidiary of IFM Global Infrastructure Fund ("IFM GIF"), has today, 7 November 2014, published a public voluntary offer pursuant to §§ 4et seq of the Austrian Takeover Act (Übernahmegesetz) addressed to the shareholders of Flughafen Wien AG (ISIN AT0000911805) to acquire a minority stake of between 20% and 29.9% for a price of EUR 80 per share. This corresponds to a premium of 29.7% compared to the closing price of the last trading day prior to the announcement of the intention to launch the offer (10 October 2014). The offer can be accepted by interested shareholders until 12 December 2014.

New Post Logistics Center Opens in Upper Austria
Listed postal service provider Post AG has officially inaugurated the new logistics centre in Allhaming, Upper Austria. Built for EUR 50 million (USD 64 million) and used since the beginning of August instead of the centre located at the Linz main train station, it has been designed for daily up to 1.6 million letters and 100,000 packages. Some 650 employees work in the new post office near the motorway Westautobahn. Various political officials participated in the inauguration.

AIRail: New Type of Rail Connections Between Linz and Vienna International Airport
From 14 December 2014, Austrian Airlines and ÖBB are to launch a cooperation entitled ‘AIRail’ on the Linz central station – Vienna Airport – Linz central station route.
