The number of arrivals by foreign guests fell by a further 15.6% in 2021 compared with the first pandemic year of 2020. Tourism: Why Does Vienna Need So Many New Hotels?

Tourism in Vienna is booming and the number of overnight stays is rising. New hotels are currently being built all over Vienna, from international hotel chains and five-star palaces to boutique hotels for city travellers, some of which attract with exposed rooftop bars.
