Austrian Armed Forces Receive International Award for Airshow "AirPower22"

For the 10th time, AirPower22 took place at Fliegerhorst Hinterstoisser in Zeltweg on 02 and 03 September 2022 under the motto "Above the clouds!". Austria's famous airshow has now been awarded the prestigious "The Paul Bowen Award of Achievement" by the European Airshow Council as the best international airshow of the year 2022 at the European Airshow Council Convention in Brussels.

In Vienna “Herrengasse” Became “Frauengasse” for International Women’s Day

On International Women’s Day, the Viennese Lines – Wiener Linien have thought of something special. They renamed the U3 metro station “Herrengasse” to “Frauengasse”. In English, this would mean changing the name from “Men’s Lane” to “Women’s Lane”.

New Rotunde Will Be Built at Vienna Prater

A New Vienna Rotunde Will be Made at Prater. The Rotunde was a monumental building that was presented at the World Expo 1873, the first Expo in Vienna. In 1937, the building caught fire and was destroyed by the flames. Today it is experiencing its renewal.

Winning Ensembles of the 8th International Joseph Haydn Chamber Music Competition Chosen

For the 8th time, the International Joseph Haydn Chamber Music Competition, where young ensembles from all over the world compete, selected the best up-and-coming string quartets and piano trios. Japanese Embassy in Vienna Organized Reception On the Occasion of the Birthday of His Majesty the Emperor

A reception was held at the Ambassador's Residence on the occasion of His Majesty the Emperor's birthday. This was the first national holiday reception in three years after the Corona-related cancellation. About 250 guests attended, among them former Austrian President Dr. Heinz Fischer as the guest of honor.
