Registrations of new motor vehicles in August 2011: +4.2%; passenger cars: +4.8%, lorries: -0.3%.

According to Statistics Austria, a total of 34,855 new motor vehicles was registered in August 2011, 4.2% more than in August 2010 and 12.1% less than in July 2011. 25,884 new passenger cars were registered and therewith increased by 4.8%; the share of new passenger cars related to the entire number of registrations was 74.3%.
