The Austrian Federal Railways cuts 650 posts at its freight division Rail Cargo Austria (RCA).

Christian Kern, the CEO of the Austrian Federal Railways (ÖBB) takes the first steps to restructure the financially stricken freight division RCA. By the end of November, he already announced several measures to economize RCA´s production. Hence, RCA faces a strict job cut. One third of its 2,000 employees must leave the company by January.
