Tourism: Moderate Increase in Guest Nights
The current summer season 2011 brought a rise in overnights by 2.2% for the Austrian tourism industry between May and September.

According to the latest preliminary data from Statistics Austria the current summer season 2011 (May to September) closed with a rise in overnights by 2.2% to 57.47 million. In July, a small decrease of 0.7% was observed. The months August and September brought growth rates of 2.5% and 2.8%. In May and June, guest nights rose by 4.1%.
