First half of tourism summer season 2011: Rise in overnights by 1.7%, arrivals peaked at 9.19 million.

According to Statistics Austria's latest preliminary data, 30.36 million overnights were registered from May to July 2011. Compared to the same period of the previous year, this corresponds to an increase of 1.7%. The overnight stays of non-residents rose by 2.2% to 20.35 million, those by resident visitors by 0.6% to 10.01 million. In the same period of time a new record for the number…
