The number of nights spent in Austria increased by 2.1% in the period from May to August. Arrivals went up by 4.3%.

According to Statistics Austria's latest available data the current summer season 2011 (May to August) closed with a rise in overnights of 2.1% to 47.59 million. The number of nights spent in Austria by non-resident and resident tourists increased by 2.4% and 1.4%, that of guests from the most important market Germany rose by 2.4% to 17.62 million.
