According to Capital Economics Ltd. Slovenia will in all likelyhood ask for a bailout to bolster its ailing banking sector in case the debt crisis in Europe should worsen.

Even though the Slovenian government can still avoid having to ask for international help “the road ahead is long and precarious,” according to London-based economist James Howat.
Yields on benchmark bonds have been “creeping up”. Moreover, if the financial crisis in Europe worsens a bailout may become unavoidable despite of the government’s endeavors.
