Slovenia Likely To Require More State Funds Than Expected

According to Morgan Stanley, the Slovenian national treasury will need a further amount of € 11bn until 2016. Slovenian Finance Minister Cufer is expected to present the new program in Brussels today.

It is still unclear whether Slovenia needs bail-out aids by the European Union or not. It all depends on the restructuring of the public banking sector which has to be carried out quickly. The banks, burdened with non-performing loans, will need € 1.45 from the Slovenian government until the end of this year. In 2014 the same amount of money is due as well as repayment obligations…
