Poland and the European Union spend a large sum in the expansion of Polish infrastructure. Many construction companies have landed contracts, among them Austrian Strabag. However, not everything is going smoothly. The Polish road administration is tardy in its payment of bills and international money transfers. Currently a total of around € 2.4bn is outstanding.
