Austrian President Alexander Van der Bellen recently delivered his annual New Year’s speech to the Diplomatic Corps in Vienna.

In his address, the president used the fact that he was yet again unable to deliver the speech to a crowd to emphasize that the COVID-19 pandemic is not over.

Van der Bellen then said that we must not lose courage and highlighted that there are highly effective vaccines widely available in Austria to help fight the virus. …
