Traffic Expenditures: € 4.3bn less

As a consequence of the new budget, public infrastructure projects are being reduced considerably. Postponed projects and low-cost alternatives will save money.

Today, the Minister of Transport, Doris Bures (SPÖ) presented the development plan for the Austrian traffic infrastructure. The plan, which is extending from 2011 to 2016, contains capital expenditures amounting to € 18.0bn, which is € 4.3 less than the origin plan scheduled.
