ÖBB want to save 100 million Euro during the next three years with cheaper and better organized purchasing. Shunting and traction are merged.

ÖBB, which are going on austerity track with their new boss Christian Kern once again, are re-organizing their purchasing and consequently want to save 100 million euro in expenses during the next three years, reports the "Kurier". This represents about 4% of the annual expense volume of 2.5 billion euro. Material costs are also to be saved in the shunting sector.
