Registrations of new motor vehicles in April 2011: +2.4%; passenger cars: +5.0%, lorries: -0.1%

According to Statistics Austria, a total of 46 793 new motor vehicles was registered in April 2011, 2.4% more than in April 2010 but less than in March 2011 (-2.7%). Registrations of new passenger cars (33 317 units) increased by 5.0%; the share of new passenger cars related to the entire registrations was 71.2%.
