According to a report by Ernst & Young, the growth of two out of every three Austrian companies is hindered by the lack of qualified personal.

The optimism in Austrian SMEs is relatively strong and has reached a new high since January 2008. The expectations regarding the economic situation are also great. In the survey of 900 companies made in December 2010, 61% indicated their business situation as "good". Only 50% had that view in July 2010.
