Agricultural census 2010: Number of Austrian agricultural and forestry holdings decreased, trend towards larger holdings.

According to preliminary results of the agricultural census 2010, a total of 175 700 agricultural and forestry holdings exist in Austria. Compared to the last sample farm structure survey in 2007, the number of holdings has decreased by 6%, compared to the last agricultural census in 1999 it has decreased by 19% or 41 800 holdings.
