Regarding innovation readiness, Austria ranked sixth in 2009. One year later, Austria lost one rank and again in 2011. Now, Austria is ranked as number eight. The three most innovative nations are Denmark, Germany and Finland. In between, Belgium, the UK and the Netherlands are placed.
