The Presidents of the Federation of Austrian Industries (IV) and the Chamber of Commerce (WKÖ) aim for re-gaining the “AAA” for Austria. The government should cut expenses instead of rising taxes.

Leitl and Sorger reaffirmed that the government has to begin with overdue structural reforms in order to restructure public finance and to re-gain the lost triple-A. Another tax increase would be extremely disadvantageous to the Austrian business location. Economic growth could be reduced further, which would cost jobs.
