The development was mainly driven by prices of intermediate goods. Energy prices were up by 8.7% on average.

As reported by Statistics Austria, the Industrial Producer Price Index, IPPI 2010, reached 104.6 points in September 2011, representing a price increase of 3.5% compared to September 2010.
