No Growth in Construction Industry in 2012

Austrian companies fear the effects of the debt brake while they still suffer from the consequences of the recession of 2009.
The Austrian economy will not be boosted by the construction industry in 2012. The biggest companies expect to grow in line with the inflation rate next year, as Strabag has announced. This estimate stands in contrast to a recent study of Euroconstruct and Wifo, which forecasts real growth in the construction industry of 0.7% in 2011 and 2012.
