Austrian Inflation Decreases to 3.4%

Consumer Price Inflation decreased to +3.4% in October 2011. The main draivers are lodging and energy prices.

The annual inflation rate of the Consumer Price Index measured by Statistics Austria was 3.4% in October 2011 (September 3.6%, August 3.5%).

A more moderate price increase in transport and lodging services as well as price reductions for telephone services were responsible for the decrease of inflation in October.
