Inflation Rises to Highest Level in Three Years
Consumer price inflation rose to 3.6% in September, the highest value since September 2008. Mineral oil products remained the main price driver.

The annual inflation rate of the Consumer Price Index (CPI 2010) measured by Statistics Austria was 3.6% in September 2011 (August 3.5% revised). Inflation was still driven by prices for mineral oil products increasing by 18% against September 2010. Without mineral oil products the inflation rate would have been 2.8%.
