Austrian Foreign Ministry Endows Special Prize for International Art

Austrian Foreign Minister Alexander Schallenberg announces a new prize for international artistic projects that deal with the impact of technology and digitalization on society.

During his visit to the Ars Electronica Center in Linz on Monday, Foreign Minister Alexander Schallenberg announced that the Foreign Ministry is to endow a new special prize.

Schallenberg explained:

"We've already been supporting Ars Electronica's many and varied projects every year, which have been attracting international attention for years and often stand for pioneering work. With this new special prize, we want to take a further step starting in 2021 to establish Austria as an international platform for the fusion of art, culture, society and technology. …
