Inflation in Austria dropped to 1.5 percent in January due to the winter sales.

The inflation rate in Austria dropped to 1.5 percent, down from 1.9 percent in December last year. Compared to the previous months prices dropped by 0.9 percent, mainly due to winter sales, as reported by Statistik Austria, the country’s statistical office.
