Today the Austrian National Assembley will pass the Abgabenänderungsgesetz (Law modifying taxes) and therefore give green light to tax increases in regard with tobacco, automobiles and economy. With the additional revenues, the Austrian government strives to achieve zero deficit until 2016, which has been questioned numerous times.
