Last year the overall annual inflation rate dropped to 2.0 percent after 2.4 percent in the previous year.

In December alone the inflation rate plunged from 1.9 percent in November to 1.4 percent, as announced by the statistical office, Statistik Austria, today.
Both Wifo (Austrian Institute of Economic Research) and IHS (Austrian Institute for Higher Studies) expect a further decrease of the overall annual inflation rate to 1.8 percent and 1.7 percent respectively. In 2014 both…
