Just recently Ambassador Kitano together with the host, UNIDO's Director-General Li Yong, attended a joint event for launching UNIDO projects in Etiopia, Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, Liberia, Nigeria, Somalia, and Syria, after the government of Japan has confirmed that it will contribute over US$5.2 million to projects in these 8 countries.
