After six hours of heated debate Slovak lawmakers failed to approved the European Financial Stability Fund (EFSF).

Since the vote on the bailout was at the same time the vote on the vote of confidence for the Prime Minister Iveta Radičova, coalition spilt and government collapsed. Slovakia, the poorest country of the Euro zone, is the only one that has rejected the changes in EFSF.
