According to Eugeniusz Gatnar, board manager of the National Bank of Poland (NBP), there was no fundamental reason for monetary intervention.

However, despite the national bank seeing no reason for weakening the Polish zloty at the moment, the market situation was closely examined, as pointed out by Gatnar.
