According to the governor of Hungary´s Central Bank, the bank taxes are causing the lending freeze.

Andras Simor, governor of the Hungarian Central Bank, the bank taxes harm the Hungarian economy. Simor appealed on the government not to treat the banking system as a burden for the economy.
The bank taxes were introduced in 2010. Next year, the bank tax should reach about 0.5% of Hungary´s GDP. The current Hungarian bank tax should be replaced by a financial transaction tax…
