The Austrian government parties SPÖ and ÖVP disagree over contributions by retirees. The austerity package is far from being resolved.

The Austrian government currently gives the impression to be uncoordinated. After the chairman of ÖVP and Vice-Chancellor Michael Spindelegger announced to have agreed over austerity plans with SPÖ, the coalition partner denied such a common point of view.
