At a meeting on April 5 in St. Petersburg, Estonian Prime Minister Andrus Ansip and his Russian counterpart Dmitry Medvedev focused on the chance of reinforcing cooperations.

Instead of continuing to criticize each other, the two Prime Ministers of Estonia and Russia, Ansip and Medvedev, decided on leaving the coolness behind but to improve relations between the two countries. This was the first organized meeting between Russia and Estonia in more than eight years.
