Miroslav Singer, governor of the Czech National Bank (CNB) was given the Central Banker of the Year 2014 award for Europe by The Banker.

Singer received the award for the forex interventions in late autumn, as announced by Marek Petrus, spokesman of CNB, today. Forex interventions were taken out on November 7 last year.
