Profits of Croatian banks have been declining sharply. In 2013 30 financial institutes operating in Croatia earned HRK 756.72m (€ 98.93m) which is a drop by 73 percent compared to the previous year when profits came at HRK 2.8bn. Moreover, the number of active banks dropped from formerly 32.
