Horst Pöchhacker, chairman of the supervisory board of Austrian Railways (ÖBB) thinks that the transport group will face more competition. A privatization would take time.

Pöchhacker reaffirmed his skepticism against shifting ÖBB to the Austrian Industrial Holding (ÖIAG). In an interview with the Austrian newspaper „Kurier“ the former CEO of the construction group Porr stated that a complete sale would be unreasonable. By contrast, private partners in the cargo segment would be conceivable.
