Austrian Officials Open 13th IPU Summit of Women Speakers of Parliament

The 13th IPU Summit is held virtually and will cover important topics dealing with countless inequalities women face today. The organization of the event is a common effort between the Austrian Parliament and the United Nations.

The 13th IPU Summit of Women Speakers of Parliament was opened today by Federal Council President Andrea Eder-Gitschthaler and National Council President Doris Bures together with the President of the Inter-Parliamentary Union Gabriela Cuevas Barron.

Speakers of parliament from all over the world will exchange views today and tomorrow in virtual form on measures to counter the consequences of the Covid-19 pandemic for women …
