Austrian Airlines Loses Swiss Destination

As the St. Gallen-Altenrhein airport in eastern Switzerland will operate its own airline, AUA will no longer fly to this airport

Austrian Airlines will no longer fly to Altenrhein, as the contracts established in 2001 will be terminated as of March 26, 2011. The airport will take over scheduled services between Vienna and Altenrhein with its own newly formed "People's Vienna Line". So far, AUA has made three round trips a day, a frequency to be maintained.
