According to the new tax report of PrinceWaterhouseCoopers (PwC), the tax burden in Austria is ten percent higher than the average tax rate in the European Union and even beats Sweden.

Austria is a high-tax-country. With a tax rate of 52.4 percent Austria is ten percent above the EU average of less than 42 percent and even beats the Swedish tax rate, which comes at 52.0 percent. This is the result of the latest tax report of PrinceWaterhouseCoopers and the World Bank.
