According to a recent study on the quality of Austria´s industrial location, the number of leaving multinational companies is growing.

After the results of the study became public, a heated debate between the governing parties and the Austrian Chamber of Commerce began. Between 2008 and 2012, the Austrian state has lost tax revenues of more than € 1.2bn and more than 70,000 jobs due to the decreasing number of multinational companies in Austria.
