The Minister of Finance and Vice-Chancelor of Austria, Josef Pröll, decides to leave the political arena.

After a severe illness Josef Pröll today announced to resign from all his political functions. In a press conference Pröll said to "decide in favour of my family and my health, not against politics". His personal medical condition is not "accordable to politics anymore".
