The power group intends to expand its know-how in the field of environmental technology through cooperation with the Technical University of Vienna (TU).

The research collaboration between Verbund and the TU Vienna is to make possible improvements in the field of hydropower, wind power, photovoltaics, turbine construction and power transmission. The cooperation agreement has been concluded for a five-year term. But there is no financial framework for the cooperation agreement: projects will be handled individually.
