The Italian subsidiary of the Verbund group, Sorgenia, recorded substantial growth rates in sales and profits in the first three quarters of 2010. During this period, sales rose 12.3 percent to 1.95 billion euros. The Verbund group is participated at Sorgenia, an Austria-Italian joint venture, with a share of 45 percent.
