Austria comes out of the international comparison poorly in terms of start-up companies. The major problem is the lack of venture capital, according to the studies.

The United States use 0.44% of the GDP for risk capital, Israel even 1%. Austria, however, only reaches 1/20 of the U.S. value.

Financing occurs here mainly by means of the conventional loans from the house bank. However, in the case of young companies with little capital, banks are somewhat reluctant to lend their money.
