In 2008, Austrian enterprises still expanded their shares in foreign enterprises. 4 899 Austrian affiliates abroad meant a 14% rise in comparison to 2007.

At the same time, the percentage of foreign controlled enterprises in Austria stayed unchanged.
8 925 foreign controlled enterprises in Austria in 2008 have been observed, a rough 2% rise in comparison to 2007 (see tables 1 + 2).
This equals exactly the rise in total market-oriented enterprises in 2008, thus leaving the proportion of foreign controlled ones at the level…
