Among 27 OECD countries, the Austria´s tax quota is the eight highest. For Austria, the trend goes upwards

Last year, the Austrian tax quota reached 42.1%. Among 27 OECD-countries, Austria ranks 8. The highest tax quotas are recorded in Denmark (48.1%), Sweden, (44.5%), France (44.2%) and Belgium (44.0). Due to the austerity package, the tax quota will increase further. Next year, the tax quota is expected to increase to 43%. However, the record level of 2001 (44.9%) will not be reached yet.…
