Slow Growth in First Quarter

In the first three months of 2012, the Austrian economy grew by 0.3% against the prior quarter. The outlook is very cautious.

According to WIFO (Austrian Institute of Economic Research), all macroeconomic factors showed an upward trend. In the first quarter of 2012, Austria´s GDP was up by 0.3% against the fourth quarter of 2011. This is an increase of 2.0% against the first quarter of 2011.
