Slight Decline in Retail Trades Sales in Real Terms

Turnover in Austrian retail trade increased by 2.1% (nominal) in the first quarter 2011.

For the first quarter of 2011, preliminary turnover results of the Austrian retail trade increased by 2.1% in nominal terms compared to the first quarter of the previous year. Taking inflation into account sales decreased by 1.5%. The number of working days (75 days) remained unchanged compared to the first quarter of 2010.
