Serbia: Inflation Rate at Lowest Level in a Decade

The Western Balkan country is expected to reach the lowest inflation rate in ten years.

Last year inflation in Serbia was in the two-digit range. This year, economists forecast inflation not to exceed 5.5 percent which would be the lowest inflation rate in ten years. Moreover, the exchange rate of the national currency, the Serbian Dinar, remains stable. However, the declining rate of price increases has not yet contributed to an improved living standard.
